Drag the strips to blend them into a smooth gradient.

A calm colour-sorting game

Color Sort Therapy is a relaxing colour-sorting puzzle you can play free in your browser. Each round takes two colours and the smooth gradient that runs between them, then shuffles the strips out of order. Your only job is to drag them back into place so the hues flow evenly from one end of the line to the other.

There's nothing to beat and nothing to lose. No timer counts down, no score ticks up, and there are no levels to grind. When a gradient comes back together the strips quietly fuse into one smooth band, take a breath, and a fresh palette fades in. It's the kind of game you keep open in a tab and dip into while you listen to music or think something over.

How to play

  1. Read the line. The strips are one gradient, shuffled — two colours with even steps in between.
  2. Drag to reorder. Press any strip and drag it up or down; the others slide out of the way.
  3. Smooth the gradient. Arrange the strips so the colour shifts evenly from top to bottom (either direction counts).
  4. Keep going. Solve it and a new random palette appears. Tap New colours any time for a fresh one.

Frequently asked questions

How do you play Color Sort Therapy?

The strips on screen are a single colour gradient that has been shuffled. Press and drag any strip up or down to reorder the line. When every strip sits in order and the gradient is smooth again, the puzzle solves itself and a new set of colours fades in.

Is Color Sort Therapy free to play?

Yes. This browser version is completely free to play with no sign-up and no downloads. There is also a free Color Sort Therapy app for iPhone and iPad with many more palettes and grid modes.

Is there a timer or a score?

No. There is deliberately no timer, no levels, no score and no achievements. It is a calm, relaxing game you can play for as long as you like while you listen to music or a podcast.

How many colours are in each puzzle?

Each round picks a random number of strips — usually six to eight — from a random colour palette, so no two gradients feel quite the same.

Can I play Color Sort Therapy on my phone?

Yes. The browser game works with touch, so you can drag the strips on any phone or tablet. For the full experience there is a native Color Sort Therapy app on the App Store.
